Jaworski Maria Luisa

N/A

Maria Luisa Jaworski, aged 55 and born in Formosa, lived many years in Salta. She was known for her generosity, often bringing home children from the hospital where she worked as a cleaner, who had nowhere to spend the night. After moving to Buenos Aires to be closer to her children, Maria showcased her culinary skills, particularly in making empanadas characteristic of her province. She and her son Ramon had plans to start a business named "Empanadas Doña Maria". Due to the challenging economic situation, on July 18, 1994, she visited the AMIA Job Placement Department early. At 9:53 a.m., a car bomb exploded at the AMIA building on Pasteur 633, where Maria, among others seeking opportunities, awaited assistance. This attack claimed the lives of 85 individuals and injured over 300.
